any kind of art is an addiction. you get addicted for making them. Vector is kind of an addiction. once you know how to do it, you want to do it again. again and again. and you want to master it, so bad. how those dots make you crazy. how technology got developed and creates art. here I'm gonna give you my best three. clearly a newbie on this. very far from professionalism and perfection.

Coldplay

this was created in July 2011. my best friend is a big fan of Coldplay. when it came for her birthday, I surely gave her a gift with a little something-something. this vector was just a part of it. part of our memory. every pictures mean something to the owner, to somebody, to the world. a simple work could create so many words. depend on what you elaborate, what you interpret. this isn't just a vector of her favourite band. it creates so many words of reminiscing memories.

I got too bored with every Avatar i had back then. saw my friend created a vector of herself. and i just couldn't bear to hold it. this avatar was created in January 2012. the actual photo is pretty annoying hahaha. how I got too addicted with United Kingdom and the Acid Era. Arctic Monkeys T-shirt, UK's flag in hand, Lennon's round sunglasses, a "Peace" necklace. ah it's just style. everybody got their own style, right?

Happy Tenth Month

this was requested by my chairmate. clearly it was for his girlfriend. I opened a vector-creating service. because I'm not a pro, I only sell it for IDR 25.000 / face or person. but if it comes for a friend, of course there's a discount hahaha. yeah, too low. but again, I'm not a pro. soooo, if you want to get a vector, come contact me, alright! ahaha

HAI!! :) Kita lagi jarang ngepost artwork2 kita, kalo gua sendiri nggak berenti gambar, tapi kebanyakan gambar buat latihan-latihan untuk masuk ITB kali ya, jadi kayaknya kurang gimana gitu kalo gua post disini, mungkin Indras juga begitu tapi gua gak tau hahaha :)

Indras sedang suka-sukanya sama girlband Korea, SNSD dan duo dari Jepang Do As Infinty. gua gak teralu tau seperti apa cintanya dengan kedua grup itu, biarkan dia mengedit post ini sendiri hahah :P Dan saya....saya terjatuh cukup jauh, saya sedang menggandrungi idolgroup Indonesia JKT48! ya, saya nggak malu kok, walaupun turun jauh dari jauh bgt yah..dulu sukanya metal-metalan sekarang idolgroup, ah masabodoh apapun untuk oshi saya :p gua suka JKT48 dari Januari, tapi gua baru getol2 nyari info mereka dan ikut forum itu mulai April. dan oshi saya adalah ini orang:

I have never done a sketch requested by others before, until now. it's always been vector, or I highly denied their requests. but I think it's kinda interesting to get someone's suggestion on what I should draw. drawing Cleopatra's hair is quiet challenging. and of course, the eyes are obviously killing my time.

I love The Beatles, do I need to say more? wait wait, we love The Beatles. sorry my fault! EVERYBODY LOVES THE BEATLES. George and John is my favorite Beatle, Ringo is the third, and Paul? I don't really like him ahaha. this was sketched somewhere in 2012.

oyeah, type "Ari Gibson" on Google, take a look at his works, he did an awesome job!

and check Gotye's "Bronte" music video, Ari Gibson did the animation, so, Ari Gibson is on the inspiration list of mine now.

Well spoken girls and stilettos aren't something to fear. Cigarette smoker, I'm sorry but we're all unsure how much you've had. But we think that you ought to maybe not have anymore. Cigarette smoker, cigarette smoke doesn't hide as well as you think. And you think that it ought to act as the perfect disguise.

Lust, the devil's greatest desire. as human is deceived, they die with thirst inside them.

The Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will only be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord, your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully.

so it's a verse quoted from the Holy Bible, based on that verse I made this sketch, the meaning of the sketch itself is like everyone has got their undiscovered skill and capabillities, there are some who aware of it and some who don't, but we all have it, we have a role in this world. we are not an another name on the graveyard, because as the Lord said he will make you the head and not the tail :)

there's a face on that person's hands, it was Einstein's. as we know, Einstein is one of the smartest people that ever lived, it represents knowledge and intelligence, so the whole idea is, to not underistimate yourself because everyone has their own potential :)

"Pemuda Kecil dan Perayaan Kemerdekaan" is Indras' second final project at Villa Merah. it is a long-awaited dream came true for herself. been craving to create a children's book, then it happened. the concept itself brings a finger puppet show to the book for parents to use. so, she marked it as the series of "Dongeng Jari-Jari".

not only getting another great compliment from friends and colleagues. this also gets a priceless feedback from the teachers and the head of Villa Merah Jakarta Selatan, a professional Graphic Recorder.

back in June 2011, Indras and her senior high friends attended a Short Film Competition published by Goelali and IDWS. they created a short film called "Mimpi Gunung Harta" and won The Best Film at Workshop category.

the story is about Bantar Gebang's children, one of the dirtiest place in Jakarta. how they build their dreams through trashes and ashes. how they live happily without elite's hands.

this is a graphic novel created by Indras. it was actually created just for fun. the environment of school is always boring and stiff, no other excuses to create such fun as drawing in class.

then in the end of 2011, she was preparing for the final project of Villa Merah. the theme of the final project was "corruption", fortunately it had something to do with the graphic novel that she created before.

by the beginning of 2012, the graphic novel itself did not just received a compliment from her friends or teachers at Villa Merah, the novel also caught a book editor's eyes and received a nice feedback.
